Brief resume: Professor Xiao is currently the program leader and group leader at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Australia. He obtained his bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Dentistry at Hubei Medical University (now part of Wuhan University), China. He practiced dentistry for nearly 10 years before studying his PhD in School of Dentistry at the University of Queensland (UQ), Australia. He is the founder and the Director of the Australia-China Centre for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine (ACCTERM) established in 2013. Professor Xiao’s work has predominantly focused on the fields of bone biology, biomaterials, stem cells, dentistry, osteoarthritis, and tissue regeneration/engineering. He has published two edited books, more than 16 invited book chapters and 230 journal papers. Professor Xiao’s work has been citied widely for more than 8000 times and his H-index has reached 52.
